JAMIYAT CENTRE MANNINGHAM – BD8
The building was purchased in 2004 (cost £240k) with the help of a loan (still outstanding) from the family members of the late Ghulam Sarwar Naushahi and was previously used as a school (Manningham Middle School). The Council had abandoned the building as a result of a restructuring exercise of closing down middle schools. The school required substantial renovation work to bring the Grade 2 Listed Building back to use. Nearly a million pounds was spent to refurbish the building. The building serves as an important community facility and has supported the development of two new free schools in the Bradford locality.
Currently Jamiyat is running a supplementary school and Islamic education classes on the weekends from the Manningham Lane building.
There are plans to open a full time Islamic seminary in future.
Your donations and support will be most welcome to sustain and maintain the building and
